- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 4 tsp gramflour
- 8 skewer sticks, submerged into water for 20 minutes

- 1 green bell pepper/ capsicum
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 " roughly sliced ginger
- 15 garlic cloves
- 3 onion roughly sliced
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
- 1 tsp salt or as per taste
- 1 cup strained water from boiled chickpea
- 1 tsp ghee/clarified butter
- 1 onion,cut into cubes
- 1/2 green bell pepper,cut into cubes
- 1 tsp roasted dried Fenugreek leaves
- 2-3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
Steps to make to make Chickpea stuffed kebab in roasted gravy
- For making kebab,Cut paneer or cottage cheese horizontally into desired length.
- Marinate paneer with 1 tsp turmeric powder,1 tsp Red chilli powder,1 tsp garam masala powder,lemon juice, salt to taste; keep for 10 minutes.
- Thread marinated paneer with skewer sticks.
- In a food processor blend boiled chickpeas,make a smooth paste.
- In chickpea paste add boiled potatoes, sliced onions, coriander leaves, chopped cashew nuts, 1tsp turmeric powder,1 tsp Red chilli powder,2 tsp garam masala powder, chopped ginger, salt as per taste and again blend it for a minute or till it combine well.
- Heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds,let it crackle.
- Then add gramflour,saute it for couple of minutes.
- Add this gramflour mixture with the chickpea mixture and combine it well.
- Now grease palm with oil, flattened the mixture put a paneer.
- Cover the paneer with the chickpea mixture properly.
- Ready all the kebab in same way.
- Heat little oil in non-stick grilled pan, fry kebab from all sides till they are golden brown in colour.
- Now kebabs are ready, keep them aside.
- Oiled and roast tomatoes and green bell pepper high flame on gas oven for 2-3 minutes.
- Wash it with cold water and chopped it.
- For gravy,heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds, roughly sliced ginger, garlic cloves and fry it for couple of minutes.
- Then add roughly sliced onions and fry it till golden brown.
- Add roasted chopped tomatoes and green bell pepper, cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped cashew nuts, turmeric powder,red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, salt to taste and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
- Add water (strained from boiled chickpea),cover and cook it for 8-9 minutes.
- Cool it down, blend it and make a smooth masala paste from it.
- For extra flavour, now heat ghee in a pan,add onion and green bell pepper cubes,saute it in high flame for a minute.
- Add the smooth masala paste,cook it for 5-6 mins
- Add roasted dried Fenugreek leaves, cook for a minute.
- Lastly add freshly chopped coriander leaves,mix it and put off the flame.
- For serving,pour gravy on the serving plate and then only put kebab on it.
- Serve hot with pulao, roti or paratha and enjoy.
